GSL Education Kent are actively seeking a SEN Teacher for a placement at Client Schools in Dartford. The schools are dedicated to creating a nurturing space where students with special needs can thrive. As a SEN Teacher, your responsibilities will be to:
- Plan and execute engaging and creative lessons to a KS3 class, tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Demonstrate positive behaviour and serve as a role model for students, effectively managing challenging behaviours when they arise.
- Offer one-to-one or small group support for students with special, facilitating their access to the curriculum.
- Conduct small group interventions to reinforce learning goals effectively.
- Assist in maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere and managing behaviours.
- Employ strategies for equitable access to education for students with additional needs.
Requirements for the SEN Teacher role:
- Proven experience working with studentswith SEN
- Possess a recognised Teaching qualification in the UK or have relevant experience.
- Experience teaching English, Maths and Science.
- Energetic and patient with strong classroom management skills.
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- A full checkable work history
