About the role
Excellent opportunity for someone to join as a Finance Business Partner in the rapidly developing Ocado Solutions business. The role will work on business models, scenario analysis, profitability modelling and forecast for our Solutions partners as well as monthly reporting, analysis and commentary, budgets, forecasts and reporting of actual performance. You will be working closely with the commercial teams who partner with our UK and International clients, various departments around Ocado and your finance colleagues.
Accountabilities
- Business partnering: Develop an excellent understanding of your clients, including detailed knowledge of the client contract with a particular focus on fees and revenue recognition. Remain in close proximity with the commercial team, and ensure alignment on upcoming priorities and assumptions
- Active member in preparing the annual Budget and ongoing Forecast process, understanding key drivers for cost/revenue variances
- Produce and refresh new site NPVs to support business case processes in Finance
- Prepare and ensure effective/ value adding inputs into periodic reports
- Understand partner P&Ls for your region
- Support with new prospect modelling
- Effective working relationships with other teams to ensure understanding, accurate accounting and variance analysis of Solutions costs in their areas
- Review and challenge of weekly and monthly volume performance, working with the Partnership Managers to identify actions to drive improvements
- Continuous improvement mindset, who strives to improve constancy and standardisation of processes and activities across all regions in the Solutions Finance team
- Support half year and year end audit queries
- Ensures financial controls are effectively performed, including site go live process
- Mentor for Finance Analysts in the team
About you
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
- Experience of financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting
- Experience of reporting period management accounts, analysis and commentary
- Advanced skills in the use of Google Sheets / Excel
- Candidates must be able to prioritise and have a flexible approach, responding to changing priorities
- Business Partnering experience
