  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (some flexibility expected)
  • £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to support our Group SHEQ Manager in improving and maintaining our SHEQ Management System. This role offers a development path with the potential to grow into the Group SHEQ Manager role within 18 months. The position involves a combination of office-based and site-based work.

A degree of physical activity is intrinsic within this role including manual handling, negotiating steps/ladders/vertical ladders and above-ground open-mesh floor walkways, and walking across rough terrain in varying weather conditions. There is also a requirement to wear items of personal protective equipment including, on occasion, respiratory protective equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Group SHEQ Manager in all aspects of the SHEQ Management System and maintain accurate records
  • Provide support to various operations within the business under the direction of the Group SHEQ Manager
  • Gradually take ownership of aspects of the SHEQ Management System

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in working with policies and procedures
  • An understanding of safety and environmental risk assessments
  • An understanding of quality management systems
  • A motivation for personal development, including training courses
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
