Learning & Development Officer - Digital & Online

Salary: Apprentice £23k to £25k (pro rata) + Excellent benefits package
Fully experienced £26k to £28k (pro rata) + Excellent benefits package including pro rota car cash allowance
Contract: Permanent/ Full time
Location: Hybrid working with 50% field based / working from Willenhall Office (WV13 2JP)
Hours of work: 9 to 5 – 3 days per week (or fewer hours on 4 or 5 days per week according to candidate needs).

Job Purpose:

This is a 0.6 part time role. As a member of the ‘Learning and Development' team your key purpose will the delivery of effective, well targeted digital and online learning across the full AF Blakemore business. Delivery will incorporate a range of online methods (eLearning, video, podcasts and other emerging technologies).Your role will also require work on learning and development projects as a project manager and team member.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Support with of digital / systems project work required by the business (eg training guides delivered within Reflexis project, setting up of eLAB portal for BTP Retailers, guides for ATLAS etc....).
  • Ownership of the BR / BTP monthly eLAB training (designing, monitoring, evaluating, scheduling, assigning etc...)
  • Creating functional online inductions and training matrices for Blakemore Retail and Blakemore Logistics and appropriate Central Services teams.
  • Identify, design, deliver and evaluate eLearning required across the business.
  • Use social media and internal comms (using video, infographics, e-flyers etc...) to ensure understanding of learning and development opportunities for all colleagues and Independent Retailers.
  • Establish a ‘library' of online resources (videos, podcasts, eLearning etc....) which will support both self-directed learning and blended learning.
  • Identify requirement for mandatory eLearning training across the business and build this into inductions and refresher schedules.
  • Evaluate all digital and online learning as a continuous improvement process
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures and processes

Person Specification:

  • Basic education (numeracy and literacy) - ESSENTIAL
  • Level 3 management qualification or relevant experience - ESSENTIAL
  • Training qualification or relevant experience – ESSENTIAL
  • Evidence of continuing professional development – ESSENTIAL
  • Project management qualification or relevant experience – DESIRABLE

Skills / Abilities / Knowledge / Experience:

  • Scope, design, develop and maintain digital / online learning materials for development programmes, courses and other learning activities.
  • Work with a range of stakeholders, including internal and external subject experts, to define the content and requirements of the digital / online learning materials needed.
  • Familiarity with an LMS / online people platform and managing the administration and reporting functions around this.
