Salary: £22.05ph Base Rate + £2.98ph Holiday Rate

Location: Canary Wharf

Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Team Assistant to provide comprehensive support to their dynamic Emerging Markets team within the Investment Banking Division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with both internal colleagues and external clients, domestically and internationally. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining client relationships, managing diaries, coordinating travel and expenses, and contributing to event management.

What you'll do:

As a Team Assistant, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the Emerging Markets team. Your excellent organisational skills will be put to use as you manage diaries, coordinate meetings, and handle all aspects of travel arrangements. You'll also be responsible for processing expenses efficiently and maintaining the in-house CRM system. Your interpersonal skills will shine as you interact with both internal colleagues and external clients, building strong relationships along the way. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your event management skills through organising various team events.

  • Provide professional administrative support to a large team of Junior Bankers
  • Maintain extensive verbal and written interaction with internal colleagues and external clients
  • Assist in setting up internal/external meetings & conference calls
  • Proactively manage calendars and meetings, ensuring no clashes and finding resolutions when necessary
  • Coordinate all aspects of travel including flights, hotels, visas and ground transportation
  • Process monthly expenses in a timely manner using firm systems such as Concur
  • Maintain in-house Client Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Manage events such as closing events, social/team events etc.
  • Cover absences within the team, providing phone cover and support when necessary

The ideal candidate for this Team Assistant role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage their time and priorities. You are a strong team player who can confidently liaise with clients and staff at all levels. Your proactive approach allows you to take ownership of tasks without needing constant supervision. You are highly organised with an eye for detail which aids in your ability to process expenses online and book travel arrangements efficiently. Your familiarity with Microsoft applications, CRM systems, and Zoom will be beneficial in this role.

  • Excellent time/priority management skills & flexibility
  • Strong team player with ability to liaise with clients and staff at all levels
  • Proactive 'can do' approach with ability to use own initiative and judgment
  • Highly organised with attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications (Windows10), particularly Outlook
  • Experience processing expenses online (e.g. on Concur)
  • Experience booking travel via an online booking tool
  • Experience working with CRM systems
  • Experience using Zoom
