James Kemball, part of the Uniserve Group, is seeking a motivated Container Control Assistant to join our team at Felixstowe & Ipswich.
Shift Pattern Monday to Friday, across various shift patterns - 6am till 3pm or 10am till 7pm (except Fridays, 9am till 6pm).
About the Role:
In this key role, you will be responsible for the accurate recording and management of container movements within our storage facilities. You will play a vital part in ensuring compliance with regulations and safety protocols, while contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage the recording of container arrivals and departures, including actual dates, times, haulier details, and vehicle information using our depot management system (CYMAN).
- Assist with creating VBS bookings and communicate effectively with shunter drivers and subcontractors as needed.
- Uphold all current procedures and regulations surrounding container storage to maintain full compliance.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies by identifying and reporting any hazards, near misses, or accidents to the Health and Safety Manager.
- Be prepared to undertake additional tasks as required by the business.
