Designer required to join a well-established construction specialist based in Maidstone. This company work on exciting roofing and cladding projects within the industrial, retail and commercial sector throughout the South-East.
Designer Position Overview
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models of roofing systems, including components, structures, and materials, using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to develop innovative roofing concepts that meet client needs and project specifications.
- Generate accurate technical drawings and specifications to guide construction teams during project execution.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure design intent is realized throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in roofing design to bring fresh ideas to the team.
- Participate in client meetings and site visits to understand their vision and provide design insights and recommendations.
Designer Position Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in 3D design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work, ideally within the roofing or construction industry.
- Proficient in 3D design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, 3ds Max) and rendering tools (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion, Enscape).
- Solid understanding of roofing systems, materials, and construction processes.
- Strong creative skills with an eye for detail, composition, and aesthetic quality.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Designer Position Remuneration
- Salary £45,000 - £55,000 (dependant on experience)
