Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Are you a detail-oriented Supply Chain professional eager to contribute to the efficient operations of a high-tech electronic products company? We offer an exciting opportunity at a leading-edge organisation renowned for its exceptional communication solutions, located in Peterborough and exporting to over 80 countries each year.

In this role, you will ensure the timely and accurate procurement of components and products, collaborating closely with suppliers and internal teams to maintain seamless production. As a key member of our Operations team, you'll have the chance to manage supplier relationships, resolve supply issues, and support the continuous improvement of our supply chain processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Raise and expedite purchase orders for components and products to ensure timely delivery
  • Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality problems, to maintain supply chain efficiency
  • Ensure all Supply Chain activities adhere to current processes and the Indra Code of Ethics and Legal Compliance
  • Prioritise and act promptly to raise purchase orders based on demand from MRP/LOD, counter shortages, and RFPs for direct and indirect supplies
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to promote flexibility, quality, cost reduction, and on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery, ensuring a minimum Supplier Rating of 'C'
  • Identify and act on supply issues such as component quality concerns, short deliveries, and late deliveries
  • Conduct due diligence on new suppliers and perform annual checks on existing suppliers, addressing any red flags as per procedure
  • Obtain quotes for new requirements and ensure export compliance data is available for order placement
  • Collaborate with the planning team and suppliers to adjust existing orders to meet production schedules
  • Maintain accurate component records in the MRP system, including lead times

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in a supply chain environment with a solid understanding of commercial practices
  • A Business degree or equivalent is advantageous but not essential
  • Proficiency in computer applications and systems
  • Ability to solve problems with some guidance, coupled with effective communication skills to engage with a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a hands-on, proactive approach
  • Customer-oriented, highly self-motivated, positive, and adaptable
