Our client, a leading provider of guarantor loans and FCA regulated, is seeking a dedicated and organised Finance Manager to build and develop a new finance team following a recent acquisition. They provide a unique service tailored to the needs of each individual in a niche market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bank Account Reconciliation -Reconcile all bank accounts and post invoices to Xero.
  • Control Accounts - Reconcile all control accounts.
  • Month End Journals -Prepare and produce month-end journals.
  • Management Accounts - Prepare and produce monthly management accounts for review with the Director.
  • Payroll - Produce weekly payroll and associated journals, review and submit staff pension payments.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting - Prepare and produce budget and forecast models.
  • Audit and Compliance - Assist and liaise with required audits, prepare and produce all FCA reporting.
  • Regulatory Reporting - Prepare and produce quarterly CT61 submissions, Companies House submissions.
  • Asset Management: - Review the asset register.
  • HR Support - Support management with HR responsibilities
  • Handle special projects, R&D claims, insurance renewal, and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Finance Manager with relevant qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Experience within the Financial Services Industry.
  • Strong understanding of audit, compliance, and regulatory reporting.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Xero accounting system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, etc.
  • High degree of attention to detail with the ability to self-review.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in building and leading a finance team is desirable.
