We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Rework Test Technician to join our client's dynamic team. With a competitive annual salary of £35,000, this permanent full-time position offers a fantastic opportunity for professional growth and development.

As a Rework Test Technician, you will play a critical role in investigating and documenting failure analysis, determining trends of failure on products at Pre-test and final test. You will be responsible for testing product releases across various hardware platforms to ensure the delivery of a high-quality product to our valued customers. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Test department to continuously reassess and improve quality procedures and practises.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fault finding and repair to component level.
  • Organise and prioritise workload, promptly highlighting any issues or delays to the responsible supervisor or team leader.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive fault log based on data collected during equipment diagnosis.
  • Train and develop team members in fault finding techniques.
  • Provide training to all team members on test equipment usage.
  • Support Production Engineering as needed.
  • Adhere to Company procedures regarding Health and Safety, reporting any issues or hazards that arise.
  • Undertake the repair and assembly of Test equipment.

Key Competencies for Success:

  • Strong testing and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in fault finding at the component level, specifically in electronics.
  • Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to mentor junior team members.
  • Ability to follow and report according to test procedures.
  • ONC qualification in electronics or equivalent experience.
  • Capability to assess test procedure's sufficiency to ensure high product quality.
  • Skill in producing specifications for test cases and procedures for various product aspects.
