Interim Finance Manager

My client is a well-respected, divisional business of part of a leading European based international PLC with a group turnover in excess of £5b.

Due to continued expansion within the UK Market, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Qualified Accountant to join the business as UK Finance Manager.

This position is initially being recruited on a temporary basis for a term of around 6-12 months and is open to either FTC or Day Rate

This position will operate as the No 1 in Finance for the UK business working closely with the UK Managing Director and Group Financial Controller based in Europe.

This is both a varied and challenging position offering broad exposure across all areas of Financial & Management Accounting and FP&A and will lead a small team of Finance Professionals.

Position Overview:

- Lead, develop and mentor a small team of finance and admin professionals ensuring that targets and deadlines are met, Overseeing and managing sales and purchase ledger, credit control, payroll and banking administration
- Production of monthly management accounts for the UK Business Unit with analysis and commentary to UK MD and Group Finance
- Budgeting and Forecasting and 3/5 yr Financial Planning and associated modelling.
- Business and Financial Analysis, Business Partnering and driving operational improvement
- Development of KPI & MI Analysis for UK MD, monitor Sales and Margin and industry / customer trends
- Maintaining and developing internal controls / business processes (including systems)
- Direct point of contact with external professional bodies - Auditors, HMRC and debt recovery specialists
- Cash flow management and forecasting, Balance sheet reconciliations, Quarterly VAT returns, P11D and other associated reporting for group
- Rolling 12 month forecast for profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow
- Work closely with both UK and Group based leadership teams taking a lead role in improvement projects
The ideal candidate will be formally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) ideally with 2-5 yrsPQE gained in a similar position and an interest working within a varied role working across all areas of finance.
Those that are Newly Qualified, P/Q or QBE but have demonstrated experience will be considered.
Previous experience or an interest working within a leadership role, building and developing a finance team is also key

This position is operating as the No 1 in Finance for the UK business, and whilst supported by Group Finance will need to be confident and outgoing and comfortable with stake holder engagement both within the UK business and C Suite in Europe.

The UK business is about to embark on a period of both growth and improvement and therefore candidates will also be given the chance to be involved in a number of projects alongside BAU Tasks

A good level of IT Literacy is essential to include MS Excel to Pivot / Look Up Level with wider knowledge of ERP Systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Dynamics Nav of IFS being a major advantage.

I
