We're seeking a

HR Apprentice

to join our busy and established

People team

in our

Milton Keynes

office.

You will receive training to achieve your

Business Administration Level 2 or 3

(depending on the level you join)

As part of the People team you will work closely with HR administrators, Advisors and Managers to provide outstanding service to our stakeholders. The main purpose of this role is to process pre-employment screening checks for all new candidates in line with the Pre-Employment Screening Policy.

What will you do?

You will be responsible for:

  • Checking pre-employment referencing forms and documents for new candidates to ensure all information is present and valid
  • Contacting ex-employers to request pre-employment references and making sure they are provided in a timely fashion
  • Verifying pre-employment references once provided and ensuring System is updated
  • Identifying the different referencing requirements for each job role and ensure these are met
  • Submitting and reviewing Credit and DBS checks
  • Ensuring all relevant candidate information is available to allow the Quality Assurance Department to carry out DBS and Credit Checks for regulated roles
  • Maintaining records throughout the referencing process
  • Dealing with customer enquiries in a professional manner and providing an excellent customer service
  • Respond and adapting to the requirements of working in a fast paced environment
  • Carrying out any other duties as required
  • Where necessary, escalate possible risks to the Area Directors to ascertain if the candidate is suitable
  • Complete Ex-Employee References within agreed SLA's

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum grade C in Maths & English
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, someone who strives for excellence.
