This client is a top 5 tech giant with a global retail operation, video streaming platform, and has a big imprint in web services. This is a hybrid role, so you will split your time between home office and the clients offices in central London. On-site you will be able to access their amazing facilities and quirky working spaces.

Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and thorough Quality Assurance Tester to join our team on a temporary basis for a period of 2 months. The primary responsibilities of this role involve creating test accounts, performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by placing orders through our online platform, and verifying language translations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Account Creation:

    • Create and maintain a total of 300 test accounts across various customer segments and user roles.
    • Ensure accurate and consistent data entry for test account details.

2. User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

    • Execute comprehensive UAT scenarios by placing orders through our online platform.
    • Test the complete order flow, including product selection, checkout process, and payment gateways.
    • Validate the functionality and user experience of the online ordering system.

3. Language Verification:

    • Test the language translations across various sections of the online platform.
    • Verify the accuracy and consistency of text translations in multiple languages.
    • Identify and report any discrepancies or errors in language translations.

4. Defect Tracking and Reporting:

    • Meticulously document and report any issues, defects, or inconsistencies discovered during testing.
    • Provide detailed descriptions, steps to reproduce, and supporting evidence (screenshots, logs, etc.).
    • Work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of reported defects.

5. Test Documentation:

    • Maintain comprehensive test logs and records for all testing activities.
    • Contribute to the creation and updating of test cases and test scripts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in manual software testing, preferably in e-commerce or web applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Basic understanding of web technologies and online ordering systems.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Multilingual proficiency (if applicable) for language verification tasks.
