Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary School)
Location: Whalley Range, Manchester
Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
Salary: £425-500 p/week
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team! This role involves working closely with a small group of children with special educational needs within our specialised provision. This is a full-time position on a temporary to permanent basis, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Help to adapt teaching materials and resources to meet the diverse needs of the children.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff.
- Support the development of students' social skills and independence.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally within a primary school setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with children.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A relevant qualification in education or child development is desirable but not essential.
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
