As an Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in optimising production, scheduling, and logistics, while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's objectives, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
- Field/Site Management: Oversee the scheduling and deployment of mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineers nationwide, ensuring the right resources are in place to meet project demands.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project management teams to align operational activities with project timelines and deliverables.
- Production & Scheduling Management: Ensure effective production planning and resource allocation to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
- Training & Development: Maintain the engineers' skills matrix and ensure ongoing training and professional development.
- Supply Chain & Logistics: Manage procurement and supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing operations team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Health, Safety, & Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular audits to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- 5+ years of experience in operations management within engineering, construction, or manufacturing environments.
- Experience managing M&E engineers and multi-site projects.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain logistics, production planning, and process optimisation.
- Leadership experience with a proven track record in team management and operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification is preferred.
