Halcyon Care (West Midlands) ltd is proud to be working with an established provider to recruit a Registered Manager for a 3 bedded home in Walsall.

The provider is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support for children and young people. Their mission is to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential. They are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Children's Registered Manager to join the team and lead the residential care home.

  • *Job Description:**

As the Children's Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operations of our residential care home. You will ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and support are delivered to the children and young people in our care. Your role will involve:

  • Leading and managing a team of dedicated care staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Developing and implementing care plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Promoting a positive and therapeutic environment.
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively.
  • Liaising with external agencies, families, and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of staff.
  • Conduct regular supervision and appraisals.
  • Implement and maintain policies and procedures in line with best practices.
  • Ensure the home meets and exceeds Ofsted standards.
  • Handle any safeguarding issues promptly and effectively.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • *Requirements:**
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a children's residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage challenging situations.
