The Corporate Compliance Manager role involves overseeing the company's legal matters, ensuring that the company adheres to the legal standards and in-house policies. This position requires a proactive team leader with experience in private non-regulated business who can enforce compliance matters in all aspects and levels of business.

Description

The Corporate Compliance Manager will report directly into the General Counsel in Cheshire and be responsible for

  • Developing and overseeing control systems to prevent violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
  • Evaluating the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously.
  • Revising procedures, reports, etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
  • Collaborating with corporate counsels and HR departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations.
  • Assessing the business's future ventures to identify possible compliance risks.
  • Reviewing the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
  • Preparing reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.

Profile

A successful Corporate Compliance Manager should have:

  • A degree in law, business administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager.
  • In-depth knowledge of ethics, data protection, competition, anti-bribery & corruption etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
  • Financial compliance such as KYC/ CDD and AML will NOT be relevant to this role.
  • A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
  • An analytical mind able to "see" the complexities of procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
