Description
The Corporate Compliance Manager will report directly into the General Counsel in Cheshire and be responsible for
- Developing and overseeing control systems to prevent violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Evaluating the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously.
- Revising procedures, reports, etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
- Collaborating with corporate counsels and HR departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations.
- Assessing the business's future ventures to identify possible compliance risks.
- Reviewing the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.
- Keeping abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
- Preparing reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
Profile
A successful Corporate Compliance Manager should have:
- A degree in law, business administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager.
- In-depth knowledge of ethics, data protection, competition, anti-bribery & corruption etc.
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
- Financial compliance such as KYC/ CDD and AML will NOT be relevant to this role.
- A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.
- Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
- An analytical mind able to "see" the complexities of procedures and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills.
