We have a number of roles available, based either in Weston-super-Mare or at our Bristol Training Institute in the centre of Bristol.

These are full time roles, working 37 hours per week.

Day to day duties of the role

  • Providing high-quality, innovative teaching, learning and assessment, with a range of Employment Services courses.
  • Be responsible for ensuring high levels of retention, achievement and success.
  • Foster effective and successful working relationships with industry professionals to enhance the learning and curriculum delivery.
  • Tutoring students, giving appropriate support and guidance to enable students to achieve their academic and vocational targets.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Professional experience in a recognisable occupational area and any industry-required qualifications; or recent experience of delivering high quality pre-employment programmes to adult learners.
  • Relevant and successful teaching experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies.
  • Teaching Qualification. All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification, or be prepared togain this Qualification within the first two years of service, with the assistance of the College.
