Head of Finance - Central London

Are you a qualified Accountant seeking a Head of Finance role with a growing Corporate Services Group based in Central London

We are looking for a commercially minded Head of Finance to join our growing Corporate Services Group as Head of Finance. Reporting to the CEO and CFO, you will use your commercial acumen and exceptional accountancy skills to control the finance function of our group of companies.

Working alongside our Financial Assistant, you will ensure the department runs smoothly, ensuring all accounting records are kept current and payments to suppliers are kept up to date.

Head of Finance responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsibility for the finance function of the company
  • Manage the group's cash flow and working capital
  • Lead the Finance Team, ensuring it is correctly resourced
  • Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external business affiliates and suppliers
  • Effective control of our cost base
  • Ensure payroll information is delivered to our payroll provider in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintain a robust payment approval process
  • Ensure year end reporting information is provided to our external accountants and ensure regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met
  • Work with external advisors to prepare and submit annual Corporation Tax returns and ensure quarterly VAT returns are completed.
  • Create and maintain an executive dashboard with key KPIs for use by the CEO
  • Provide and upgrade existing daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports on the financial performance across the business
  • Monthly Management Accounts Pack
  • Liaise with our Business Information Team to help provide financial analysis on profitable and loss-making aspects of the business

Head of Finance requirements include:

  • Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or similar qualification with relevant experience
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior role in the private sector
  • Xero and Excel experience
