HR Employment is currently looking for a Group Logistic Manager to join our well established client on a permanent basis.
Main Duties:
- To ensure that the Group fleet of commercial vehicles is scheduled in an efficient manner, in line with customer and operational need.
- Management of the companies Operators licences, ensuring compliance against their requirements.
- Management of the transport team and relevant depots, including administration and drivers.
- Management of the groups company vehicles.
Main Duties :
- Scheduling of vehicles, either directly or by delegated duties to ensure that the customer and operational needs are met.
- Scheduling of vehicles in an efficient manner in terms of profitability and resource efficiency.
- Vehicle compliance against the Operator licence requirements for Brownhills and Sneyd transport depots.
- Driver compliance against the Operator's licence requirements for Brownhills and Sneyd transport depots.
- Management of drivers.
- Management of Transport team, including those on the remote depots. This may require working remotely from the base location.
- Ensuring CPC training of all drivers is kept current.
- Development and maintenance of a training matrix, in line with company's policies and procedures.
- Development, review and contribution towards the Group Transport Safe Systems of Work (RAMS), with support from the wider group.
- Development and maintenance of the groups FORS accreditation.
- Developing and reporting on site and group KPI's, in conjunction with the Group Operations Director.
- Participation in regular review meetings in relation to the business. These may be held remotely from the base location. - Development, integration and embedding of the SAP system into Logistics department.
- Generation of IPOs in line with the IPO Procedure for Brownhills and Purchase Orders in SAP for Sneyd.
- Cost control - manage costs within an agreed budget, reporting variances accordingly.
