Finance Director

Transparent is proud to support this exciting company in the recruitment of a Finance Director to join the team.

This position is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organisation.

This is a fully remote working position.

Key duties will include:

FP&A

Developing and implementing financial planning strategies to support the company's goals and objectives. Conducting thorough financial analysis to include budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, and providing insightful recommendations to improve financial performance and long-term viability

Budgeting & Forecasting

Leading the budgeting process by working collaboratively with department heads to establish financial targets. Monitoring and updating financial forecasts based on actuals.

Financial Reporting

Preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Cash Flow Management

Managing cash flow to meet operational requirements and financial obligations. Implementing effective cash management strategies to minimise risk and maximise returns.

Risk Management

Identifying and assessing financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.

Strategic Planning

Working with executive management on a collaborative level in the development and execution of the company's strategic plans.

Compliance & Audit

Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations, co-ordinating and managing external audits, building good working relationships with auditors.

Team Leadership

Leading and mentoring the Finance Team, whilst fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

The Person:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Commercially focused
  • Good FP&A skills
  • Direct M&A exposure (highly acquisitive business)
  • Previous experience in a "scale-up" scenario would be advantageous
  • Hands-on approach
  • Team management and development
  • Short availability - ideally a 1st October 2024 start date
