Housing Options Officer
Temporary Role - 3 Months

£35 per hour
We are supporting a local government body who are searching for a Housing Options officer for a 3 month temporary basis.
Role:
You will provide front line, customer service to families and individuals experiencing housing difficulties.
- You will assess housing needs and provide specialise advice in line with all housing guidance to prevent homelessness. This could include visiting applications parents, negotiations with landlords and mortgage companies.
- Undertake investigations to determine the councils options for each individual case
- Help with any questions or queries
- Supporting with issuing personal housing plans (PHP)
- To liaise with Social care teams, health providers, private landlords, and other agencies to support each individual
- Attend case conferences and assessments
- Undertake formal investigations under Pt V11 Housing Act 1996
Candidate Experience:
- Experience of providing housing advice and working within a similar area
- Experience of PHP and writing s184 decisions
- Experience of Civica / Abritas is desirable
