Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated IT Support Apprentice to join our dynamic team at Keytracker Ltd. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT support, working closely with our experienced professionals to provide excellent service to our clients. You will be involved in various tasks, from troubleshooting system issues to installing and configuring applications, and supporting customers in multiple capacities.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Support: Assist in ensuring that clients' systems are operating smoothly, helping users to gain the maximum benefit from our products.
- Installation & Configuration: Learn to install and configure applications in line with our range of products.
- Client Support: Provide support to clients in a face-to-face capacity, over the phone, or via remote desktop software. Help clients set up systems and resolve issues under supervision.
- Troubleshooting: Work on diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults, following diagrams and written instructions to repair faults or set up systems.
- New Applications: Support the roll-out of new applications and installations as part of a team.
- User Management: Assist in setting up new user profiles, managing password issues, and responding to service requests within agreed time limits (SLAs).
- Technology Evaluation: Participate in assessing and evaluating new technologies, such as AWS, to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
- Problem Resolution: Learn to deal with technical problems and apply resolutions to minimize disruptions for our clients.
Skills Required:
- Logical Thinking: Ability to think logically and systematically when approaching problems.
- Technical Knowledge: Good memory and understanding of how software and operating systems work.
- Communication: Excellent listening and questioning skills, with the confidence to interact with clients and establish problems, as well as explain solutions.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well within a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a collaborative environment.
- Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking skills for effective problem-solving and decision-making.
Entry Requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
