Job Description: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students across various classes and activities. This unique position requires a driving licence, as you will occasionally be responsible for transporting students or school materials between our main campus and our sports or field trip locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, particularly those with additional needs.
- Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of students during school hours, including during transport.
- Drive the school minibus for trips, extracurricular activities, and other school-related transportation needs.
- Support the organisation and supervision of off-site educational trips.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to foster a positive and productive learning environment.
Requirements:
- A valid UK driving licence.
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic administrative and IT skills.
Desirable:
- First Aid certification.
- Experience driving a minibus or willingness to undertake training.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare.
