You will have a portfolio of audit clients and will be the key point of contact for these clients with the following responsibilities:
- Arranging audit dates with the client along with stocktakes and interim audits where required.
- Assigning members of the audit team based on skills relevant to the client in question.
- Communicating with clients on a regular basis to ensure that initial deliverables are known and received, outstanding items are known and all key dates relating to the audit are known by all parties.
- Ensuring that junior members of the team have sufficient work available, and that training and development is provided.
- Completing audit files from planning through to a position for review by the audit manager.
Skills and experience required.
- ACA/ACCA qualified or part qualified.
- Knowledge and exposure to FRS 102 with a good understanding of accounting standards relevant to small and medium size entities.
- Strong communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have had some prior experience of discussing audit issues with clients.
- Access to a car and a valid UK driving licence are essential.
