Vehicle Line Manager - Body Exteriors

Job Purpose:

Achieve all the specific targets related to engineering, timing, costs and quality for body exteriors. Plan and manage the activities of the car line that are required for body exteriors throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the Team Leader in the definition of the technical and product development requirements and respective achievement
  • Responsible for leading external engineering Team fostering analysis and facilitating decision making
  • Accountable for reaching targets on material costs, investments and supplier development costs, supported by the PL of Finance
  • Responsible for tracking and managing overall components timing
  • Responsible for tracking and managing overall components sign off

Qualification & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in Project Management and Product Delivery
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of cross functional targets and constraints
  • Working knowledge of AMPCS / MISSION or similar Product Creation Process.
  • Familiar with Body Exterior components (Exterior trim, lighting, sealing, glazing + mechanisms) including their manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience of directly or indirectly leading purchasing, quality or manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Degree educated
