As the Manufacturing Shift Manager - Nights your role will involve the following important duties:
- Manage all operations to ensure KPI targets and business objectives are met at a tactical level
- Oversee production to meet cost, quality, delivery and safety targets
- Drive performance, productivity improvements and develop machine and staff utilisation in order to lower cost per unit
- Review and develop continuous improvement, working on various projects to improve efficiency and safety.
- As the most Senior Manager on site you will also deal with escalated issues as appropriate
- Work closely with other Manufacturing Shift Managers to improve efficiency and continuity
The experience required...
As a successful Manufacturing Shift Manager - Nights you will have the following:
- At least 5 years' Management experience within a high volume manufacturing or warehouse environment, managing teams and production.
- Proven track record of driving performance, quality and safety
- Proven knowledge of Continuous Improvement & Lean Principles with evidence of successful projects
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification would be ideal.
- Strong IT Skills with intermediate Excel and exposure to Warehouse Management Systems
- Driven, dynamic approach to management and continuous improvement with the strength to self-motivate and deal with escalated issues.
