Job Purpose:

Technical Assistants will be required to use excel, VBA and Power BI to report on various parts of the planning process which will provide business support, insight and assurance to the business staff and leadership.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist the production of outage information reports
  • Support the delivery of critical works through efficient data management, proactive audit and communication with key stakeholders.
  • Develop process improvement activities that improve the performance and effectiveness outage and delivery performance reporting..
  • Support accurate data quality checks.
  • Accurate record keeping within WSE database for our statutory obligations.
  • Support preparation of performance KPI information.
  • Manage ad hoc reporting as instructed.
  • Document planning decisions and rationale to provide increased visibility of delivery performance.
  • Lead on Technical Limitation compliance management reporting
  • Provide one-off reporting as required to support Regulatory Reporting.

Knowledge, Experience and Technical Know How

  • Experience of working in a team environment with data systems and delivering accurate outputs to tight timescales.
  • Basic level of knowledge and understanding of the attributes of an Electricity Transmission System and its operations with some knowledge of asset data on primary substation equipment.
  • Experience of communicating with multiple stakeholders using both written and verbal communication.
  • Good time management and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritise work with minimal supervision.
  • Numerate and computer literate.
  • Proficient with MS excel (intermediate), Power BI and ability to pick up business management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of NG Safety Rules and Working Procedures.
  • Demonstrates an appetite for continuous improvement.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to develop stakeholder management skills both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of regulatory environment

Qualifications:

GNVQ Level 3and/or relevant experience
