We are seeking a dynamic and qualified Games Design Teacher to join our centre of excellence for creative and digital courses. Location: SALFORD
Hours: FULL-TIME
Position: PERMANENT
Pay Rate: £26,444 - £43,795
Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach Games Design across levels 1-3, adhering to BTEC and OCR standards.
- Utilise outstanding IT facilities and the latest technology to provide an engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with national and local businesses to enhance the educational experience.
- Implement a student-first approach to teaching, ensuring a creative, fun, and exciting classroom atmosphere.
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new technologies to inspire students.
- Guide students through the conceptual and design pipeline processes of games art and product development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed).
- A good honours degree in a relevant subject discipline or significant industry experience within the Games sector.
- Proficiency in 3DsMax and an understanding of Maya and/or Blender.
- Knowledge of games design software, particularly Unreal Engine, as well as Adobe Products. Experience in Revit/Unity is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the conceptual and design pipeline process of games art and product development.
- A passion for the games design and gaming industry.
- Ability to utilise new technologies to engage and inspire students.
