Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with a successful business in Rotherham as they look to recruit a part time Finance Assistant into their team on a permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily recording of bank receipts & payments
- Reconciliation of bank accounts including foreign currency bank accounts
- Responsible for the purchase order process including creating and sending purchase orders to suppliers
- Matching good receipts and deliveries to PO's and investigating where necessary
- Processing of purchase invoices
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Dealing with supplier queries
- Processing of customer sales invoices
- Credit control, including chasing of debts
- Reconciliation and postings of expense claims
- Posting of journal entries
- Assisting with the month end reporting
- Updating and reconciliation of the fixed asset register
- Assist with the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in preparing the VAT returns
- Assist with the production of monthly payroll
- Support the finance manager in any other tasks as reasonably required
Personal Specification
- AAT or equivalent (desired)
- Previous experience of working in a similar finance/accounts role
- Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment (desired)
- Previous experience of Xero (desired)
- Confident in using Microsoft software including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
- Ability to communicate across various departments
- Self-starter and proactive team player
- Analytical mindset
- Reliable and trustworthy
