Maths Teacher

  • Salary: Pro Rata £12,206.96 - £20,525.61
  • Location: Wythenshawe or Openshaw
  • Job Type: Part time(17.5hrs)

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching Delivery: This involves providing high-quality education to students. The educator is expected to develop innovative resources and lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students. The use of technology to enhance learning experiences is also a crucial part of this responsibility.
  • Student Assessment: The educator is responsible for developing fair and comprehensive assessments to gauge student understanding and progress. This includes marking work in a timely manner and providing constructive feedback to help students improve their performance.
  • Support & Engagement: This responsibility requires the educator to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff to ensure the welfare of students. It involves engaging with students regularly to ensure they are on track to achieve their learning goals and providing additional support where necessary.
  • Administrative Duties: In addition to teaching, the educator is expected to carry out various administrative tasks. These include maintaining accurate records of student progress, engaging with quality assurance procedures to ensure the high standard of education is maintained, and participating in recruitment and marketing activities to promote the FE Department at The Manchester College.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A track record of inspiring and motivating students with diverse learning needs.
  • A commitment to personal and professional development, with a willingness to engage in further training.
