Senior Finance Business Partner- Post Trade Regulatory Reporting

A Senior FBP opportunity has arisen in Finance, reporting to the LCH Group CFO, supporting the Regulator Reporting business (and entities) within the Post Trade Division.

The Post Trade Division, one of the three LSEG business divisions and a significant player in Global financial markets, has 2022 income of £991m. The division contains four core businesses, LCH Ltd (world's largest clearing house and largest counterparty to most global banks), LCH SA (national French clearing house and a credit institution); Regulatory Reporting (PTRR - pan European regulatory reporting service) and most recently Post Trade Solutions, comprising newly acquired businesses Quantile, SwapAgent and Acadia.

The business provides a range of products to assist clients with transaction reporting mandates. The business also develops data and analytics services to improve data quality and enhance clients' control frameworks. Data submitted through PTRR has several use cases for global regulators (ESMA, FCA) including monitoring for Market Abuse and Concentration Risk.

This role requires a dedicated and experienced finance partner who can work closely with the CFO, its leadership team, and the Heads of the Businesses.

This role is will be based in London, LSEG 10 Paternoster Square and is Hybrid.

Job description:

  • A self-starter and independent worker with the ability to navigate through ambiguity and imperfect data. E2E ownership of all financials aspects of the business including month end, budgets, FY forecasts, strategic support, key projects and commercial discussions
  • The role will be to present the financials at monthly Management committee meetings and Board meetings as the Reg Reporting CFO
  • Strong commercial focus and ability to provide constructive challenge. Understand the key business drivers and link that will financial data for proactive decision support. Have a strong commercial demeanor and analytical skills
  • Full ownership and preparation of Board Packs, Planning and Co-ordinating the budget across entities, Annual Stress Testing and Wind-down assessment of the entities
  • Delivering the results within budget and tracking it closely through monthly full year forward looking forecast / analysis, ensuring no surprises across the Leadership teams, Business management, Finance with minimal surprises
  • Develop Capex cases and financial returns analysis to support the development of our international business and other change initiatives. Collaborating closely with PMO on Capex budget and forecast
  • Working with Financial Control to ensure the accuracy of the ledger and understand any variance between the business revenue Flash and the revenue expected in the ledger, as well as to review periodic submissions to the regulators
  • Review of intercompany recharge models and ensuring legal agreements are in place. Understanding Group allocations
  • Lead or support on adhoc finance wide projects (e.g. Beacon Ledger migration) and any supporting M&A activities as required

Qualifications

  • ACA, CIMA, MBA or other similar accounting qualification
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong working knowledge of PowerPoint required
  • A good understanding of the industry and business context is desirable

Skills

  • Experience in previous Business Partner and Decision Support or FP&A Role is desirable.
  • Has a commercial demeanor, able to provide strategic inputs as well as constructive challenge
  • A high level of interpersonal and problem solving skills with a consistent track record to function effectively as part of diverse team that coordinates out of different geographies
  • Strong control background supervising financial performance and proactively finding opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation
  • Thrives in a matrixed environment supporting senior partners
  • Can navigate ambiguity and work through options with the broader team
  • Leadership and development of the broader Finance Team including working closely with our colleagues in various locations globally
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and project managements abilities
