Job Title: Procurement Manager

Location: Southend

Remuneration: £55,000 - £60,000 per year

Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time

Driving Required: Yes - due to location

Are you a talented and experienced Procurement Manager ready to take the lead in driving strategic sourcing and supply chain capabilities in a dynamic organisation? Look no further! Our client is seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join their team and play a vital role in their success.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecast demand, conduct research for optimal product sourcing, forecast price trends, and manage budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, negotiate contracts, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure service quality.
  • Develop and implement strategies aligned with organisational goals, meet cost savings targets, negotiate supply agreements, and optimise inventory.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks, manage vulnerability assessments, and maintain an ethical supply chain.
  • Motivate and performance manage the procurement team, chair meetings, and attend management sessions.
  • Contribute to the company's plans and utilise technology for process improvement.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
  • CIPS qualifications or working towards this
  • Experience as a Procurement Manager
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective negotiation skills and understanding of contract law
  • Up-to-date understanding of external supply markets and emerging trends
