£11.44 per hour Working 40 hours per week on a rotating treble shift. (6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am)

Temporary to Permanent

I have been requested to assist with the recruitment of a Manufacturing Assistant to join our client on a temporary to permanent basis.

The successful candidate will work a period of 12 weeks and lead to a permanent position.

It is essential to work the Treble shift pattern.

You will be responsible to always produce work to the highest standard of quality with minimal waste.

Main Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the smooth and constant running of the binding machines.
  • Duties are to ensure the processes are maintained throughout the shift to ensure worksheets are fulfilled as instructed by the Shift Operations Manager.
  • Maintain high quality and efficiency of work produced at all times.
  • Attention to detail and a good work ethic is a must.
  • Ensure your work areas are maintained in a tidy and presentable state.
  • Follow planned maintenance programmes.
  • Working alongside colleagues to prepare for the next batch whilst current job is running.
  • Provide accurate and safe use of a BVM shrink wrapper and Sequential Feeders on KM binding lines.
  • Accurately process an array of job orders and components.
  • Provide high levels of Customer Service when communicating with all internal and external contact.

Experiences required.

  • Previous experiences within a manufacturing environment will be beneficial.
  • Flexibility with hours, including availability for a reasonable overtime as and when requested.
  • Use of mechanical handling equipment.
  • Flexible, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Be IT Literate.
  • Ability to organise and schedule own time and activities, monitor progress and stay on top of own workload.
