MJ Security Systems Ltd is a NSI Gold Accredited Installer of security systems for residential, commercial, retail, and educational sectors principally covering London and a 50-mile radius of our offices in Houghton Regis. Founded in 1985, we use advanced technology to provide our customers with a bespoke security solution for their needs. Our range of products include security alarms, door entry devices (including smart doorbells), CCTV monitoring, solar CCTV, and access control systems.
Role Description
This is a full-time field based role for a Security Systems Engineer. The Security Systems Engineer will be responsible for servicing, upgrading/takeovers and small works installations of security systems in the residential, commercial, industrial and educational sectors. This will include configuring and troubleshooting hardware and software, ensuring the systems' compatibility with existing systems as well as supporting customers on the use of their new systems. As we provide a 24 hour emergency call-out service this role will also be required to participate in the engineer standby call-out rota. The Service Engineer will report into the Technical Director.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in maintaining and servicing security systems
- Experience with CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm Systems and ideally Fire Alarms
- Understanding of network security protocols and best practices
- Knowledge of Scantronic, Texecom, Eaton, Honeywell, HiK Vision, Adpro, ACT and Paxton equipment
- Strong understanding of project and H&S principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills providing excellent customer support
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues
- Employer references and DBS Screening required
- Clean UK driving licence
Salary
£28,000-£35,000 + standby increment+ overtime +company vehicle+pension. Starting salary will be dependent on experience
