Description

The Strategic Communications Manager will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the planning, delivery and evaluation of communications and engagement activity for projects, issues, campaigns and events.
  • Managing communication projects and produce engaging, inclusive and accessible content for use on a full range of channels.
  • Providing specialist communications advice to policy and operational teams
  • Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of communications strategies.
  • Identifying and exploiting opportunities to take a proactive, integrated and innovative approach to communication and engagement
  • Providing effective and inclusive management and leadership to one or more Officers
  • Staying updated with industry and policy trends to inform communications plans that reflect the current state of affairs

Profile

The successful Strategic Communications Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in development and implementation of communication projects and campaigns.
  • The ability to analyse complex issues and develop innovative solutions to enhance the effectiveness of communications and engagement
  • Demonstrable skills in content development for a range of channels and audiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to think strategically and creatively.

Job Offer

  • An annual salary range of approximately £39,000 to £47,000.
