Role Overview:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will inspire and engage students through dynamic and practical lessons in food technology. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality curriculum that develops students' skills in cooking, nutrition, and food science. This role requires a creative and enthusiastic educator who can motivate students to achieve their best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to students at KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5.
- Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives and the latest educational standards.
- Provide constructive feedback to support students' academic and practical growth.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed in the food technology classroom.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level, with a track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum and current educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
