The Company:

My client is a leader in the smart transport industry, particularly in the field of ticketing and smart travel cards. In addition they produce and manage transport payment portals for a number of public sector and private travel companies.

The business employees less than 50 people but has an established history of over 25 years. They also have excellent colleague retention in the 2 years' I have been working with them.

Purpose of Role:

The Project Coordinator role is office based in a small and busy team of Project Managers with multi-skilled experience including smart cards, software and ITSO (the national transport smart ticketing standard). You will work alongside the relevant teams within the company (Project Management, Developers, Engineers) to assist in the delivery of the projects. The role will also involve ongoing customer support activities following the delivery of the main project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling change and maintenance requests for existing customers
  • Raising tickets on the internal ticketing system
  • Generating reports for invoicing
  • Raising purchase orders / sales orders and delivery notes
  • Scheduling field engineer maintenance

Skills and Knowledge:

  • This role is customer facing so experience handling customer requests is essential
  • Prince 2 qualification is an advantage
  • Organised, numerate and with good written and spoken English
  • Good attention to detail, particularly able to spot data errors.

Special conditions:

  • This is an office based role with poor transport links so a driving licence and use of a vehicle is advised
  • British citizenship - no sponsorship is given
  • There is opportunity for growth into a full Project Manager role with Prince 2 training for the right candidate and the company values internal progression
