Role: Category Manger - Professional Services / Category Manager

Salary: up to £55,483 per annum
Location: London (hybrid, approx. 2x onsite per week)
A renowned research University in London are looking for a Category Manager to join their team and manage the Professional Services & Facilities Management procurement, ensuring best value for money and compliance with regulations. The role involves developing supply agreements, managing tenders, and providing procurement expertise to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement activities to achieve value for money
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory obligations
- Develop and manage supplier relationships and contracts
- Provide expert procurement advice and training to stakeholders
- Monitor and report on procurement savings and efficiencies
- Support sustainability initiatives and electronic commerce programs
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified or studying towards Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) membership
- Significant experience in managing large, complex procurement projects
- Strong negotiation, communication, stakeholder management skills and ability to work proactively
Desirable:
- Knowledge of e-Procurement systems and the Higher Education sector
