Are you an experienced Buyer or looking for your next step into a Buying role? If so, we have a new role working for a progressive and forward thinking business based in Bath. Working in stunning offices, our client is looking for someone to work in a small and expanding team in their quest to develop and maintain supplier relationships.
Our client is offering either a temp to permanent option or straight permanent opportunity.
Salary - £25,000 max
M-F, 37.5 hours
Hybrid once training completed
Typical duties include:
- Managing a list of titles – from costing through to PO
- Negotiating costs and agree schedules
- Working with Sales regarding customer requirements
- Working closely with Production Control team regarding upcoming orders, schedules and dummies
- Adding estimated costs and schedules to the database
- Creating PQs, POs, Assembly orders and other related documentation
- Supporting the Head of Procurement
- Maintaining quality of data (e.g. clear and consistent spec details
- Working with all teams to challenge product specifications
- Looking to find alternative suppliers for formats and components
- Attending meetings as needed
- Identifying and setting up new procedures
Ideally you will have:
- Confidence and a good communicator
- Highly organised and proactive individual
- Experienced and confident on Microsoft Excel and database systems
- Experience being part of or managing a tender processes desirable
- Experience building relationships with Far East suppliers
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Initiative, honesty and integrity
- Positive can-do attitude within a fast-changing environment
