Robertson Bell are excited to partner with this highly respected public sector institution as they go to market for a Finance Operations Manager on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role that is the ideal opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to make their mark in a fantastic organisation.

Key responsibilities of this Finance Operations Manager role include:

  • Oversee day-to-day transactions, managing a highly experience team of five, ensuring deadlines are met and providing relevant training and development resources.
  • Implement improvements to modernise outdated accounting systems, transitioning to cashless and paperless processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Review and manage VAT-related tasks and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage billing cycles and prioritise day-to-day transactions based on seasonal demands.
  • Provide support for payroll complexities and collaborate with stakeholders including parents, suppliers, and budget holders.

This role is based in Sevenoaks, requiring a full-time office presence initially, with the potential for hybrid working once changes are implemented. The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Accountant or have relevant experience with a strong understanding of financial accounting and VAT.

  • Possess excellent team management skills, a positive attitude, and a solution-focused approach.
