Senior Legal Officer

Our client is seeking a Senior Legal Officer to provide legal support and guidance in Town Planning. The successful candidate will be a qualified legal professional who can deliver high-quality advice and support.
Day to Day of the role:
- Provide support and advice in Town and Country Planning, Highway Law, and Compulsory Purchase.
- Provide legal advice in written or oral form, including drafting documentation and conducting proceedings.
- Represent Head of Service, Principal Legal Officers, and other Senior Legal Officers as needed.
- Prepare and present training programmes to ensure up-to-date legal knowledge.
- Conduct all work in accordance with internal policies and procedures, utilising case management and time recording systems effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in Planning Law.
- Proven experience in advocacy.
- High standard of drafting, negotiating, presentation, communication, and personal organisation skills.
- Knowledge of the legislative framework within Local Government and issues relevant to service responsibilities.
- Demonstrated success in working with partners to achieve common goals.
