Job Title: Teacher of Design and Technology (Maternity Cover)

Contract: Fixed-term for 1 year (Maternity Cover)
Salary: M1-M6 pay scale (£31,650 - £43,606) depending on experience
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Design and Technology to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This role will start in November 2024 and continue for one year. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Design and Technology lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels, ensuring all students are engaged and challenged in their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver well-structured Design and Technology lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Create engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and encourage active participation.
- Stay updated on curriculum developments in Design and Technology to enhance lesson content.
- Contribute to the pastoral work of the school through the role of Form Tutor.
- Occasionally teach other areas of the Design and Technology curriculum as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Previous experience teaching Design and Technology is preferred.
- Qualifications: QTS is desirable but not essential if you have the right experience and passion.
- Skills: Excellent subject knowledge with a proven ability to inspire students and deliver successful lessons.
- Commitment: A strong dedication to the holistic development of students, promoting both academic success and social-emotional well-being.
- Expectations: High standards for student achievement and a collaborative approach with colleagues.
