Draughtsman - Earith - 30-35k
Role: Draughtsman
ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Draughtsman to step into a great opportunity for a leading client of ours in Earith.
Job Purpose:
- From hand sketches or briefs, create 3 dimensional models and prepare detailed technical drawings suitable for manufacture, using CAD software and computer visuals as required.
- Add our clients level of value to the Customer brief when the opportunity exists to do so.
- Provide project management support, if required, to achieve customer requirements.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- To design and shape products for a variety of applications.
- To produce design specifications and technical drawings including parts lists.
- Design, model, and produce prototypes of new products, or make improvements to existing products.
- Interact with customers and perform in a professional manner and present a professional image.
- Recommend modifications following prototype test results.
- Look to improve or modify cost effective designs to current specifications.
- Ensure that all administration (internal/external) is complete in full and on time.
- Maximise efficiency via good time management.
Required Knowledge:
- A full understanding of Solid Works and similar packages.
- Understanding of materials and production processes.
- An understanding of our client's manufacturing capabilities.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of appropriate systems and procedures.
