Cloud Engineer Assistant

The Cloud Engineer Assistant plays a key role in supporting and optimising our clients' cloud infrastructure on the Microsoft Azure platform. This position involves the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of cloud resources to ensure efficient performance, reliability, and compliance with our client's ICTS policies and SLAs. The successful candidate will work closely with ICTS technical teams to improve resource allocation, troubleshoot issues, and help drive overall cloud efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Administration and Maintenance:

Oversee daily Azure cloud resource administration, monitor usage, and manage capacity and performance to ensure efficient operation.

  • Resource Configuration and Deployment:

Assist in configuring, deploying, and scaling Azure cloud resources, ensuring alignment with standardized configurations and optimized performance.

  • Troubleshooting and Support:

Provide first-level support to diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues, and troubleshoot errors to minimize disruptions to cloud services.

  • Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to ICTS policies and security standards, maintaining thorough documentation for auditing and compliance.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

Work collaboratively with ICTS technical teams, providing technical support on cloud-related queries and contributing to resource efficiency and user satisfaction.

  • Learning and Development:

Stay updated on Azure platform improvements and best practices, sharing insights with the ICTS team to support continual cloud service improvements.

  • Additional Responsibilities:

Support the Senior Operations and Security Officer with additional duties as needed to achieve ICTS objectives.

Qualifications

  • Education:

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience:

1-2 years of experience in cloud infrastructure administration, ideally on Microsoft Azure.

  • Technical Skills:

Basic understanding of Azure cloud administration tools, resource scaling, and introductory scripting for automation.

  • Soft Skills:

Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities to foster teamwork across departments.
