Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Food / FMCG Production Near Wednesbury

40 Hours Across Both Early (6am start) & Late Shifts (10pm finish) - Monday to Friday

Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 Plus Paid Overtime

This fast-paced Food manufacturer in the Wednesbury area is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (either bias acceptable) to join their small & efficient maintenance team.

Ideally, we are looking for Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers who live within commutable distance of the factory, with previous experience of using CMMS, undertaking both Planned maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across Food production plant, machinery & facilities. You will be able to tackle both Mechanical & Electrical issues, with the role equally suitable whether you are Mechanically or Electrically biased.

With solid planned maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnosis skills, the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in increasing equipment reliability and will need at least some experience of working within Food / FMCG production environments. With your previous experience within Food Production, you will be able to quickly & safely get upto speed and make a real impact on improving the company's high-speed production machinery.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Either Bias is suitable)
  • Some experience within maintenance for Food / FMCG production environments
  • Strong attention to detail, especially related to Health & Safety
  • Able to undertake planned and reactive maintenance across both Mechanical & Electrical disciplines
  • Work with the Engineering Manager and maintenance team to implement changes, improvements and optimise each line for Production.
  • Able to work 1 allocated Night Shift in the week (Mon - Thurs night)
  • Good communication skills, comfortable in making suggestions where machinery or process changes can made to save waste or improve production.
  • Ability to document your work effectively on the CMMS and write reports when required.
  • A good team player who is able to both give & receive positive communications - especially under stressful breakdown situations - providing a creative & inspirational approach to your work and team colleagues at all times.
