H&S Manager

We are seeking a dedicated H&S Manager to join a Manufacturing site in Wakefield. This role will be a temporary position (however this could become permanent) in the industrial/manufacturing sector, where the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving health and safety standards.

Description

As the H&S Manager you will own health and safety for the site. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and enforcing health and safety protocols within the workplace
  • Conducting regular safety audits and inspections
  • Developing and implementing health and safety training programs for staff
  • Ensuring compliance with local and national health and safety regulations
  • Investigating and reporting on any health and safety incidents
  • Working closely with the Engineering & Manufacturing team to continuously improve safety standards
  • Liaising with external health and safety bodies as required
  • Developing and maintaining health and safety records and documentation

Profile

The successful H&S Manager should have:

  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
  • Worked in a manufacturing environment previously within H&S
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety, ideally NEBOSH
