We are helping a partner school recruit a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in Kirklees. The School is an inclusive primary school in the heart of Kirklees, committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for students. The team is dedicated to fostering a love of learning, ensuring every child achieves their full potential.

The Role:

As an HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. This role is ideal for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking to gain valuable classroom experience and develop their teaching skills. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting class teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities.
  • Leading small group interventions and one-to-one support sessions.
  • Planning and delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with additional needs.
  • Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: A relevant Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Passion for Education: A genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability and willingness to take on a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS check: You will need a enhanced DBS check for this role
