  • Hours per week: 37.5
  • Rate: £20 to £30 per hour

We are seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors for senior/intermediate roles, focusing on delivering capital projects within the pharma industry or similar regulated environments. This is not a graduate development opportunity but a role for professionals who can provide efficient and effective Quantity Surveying services throughout the project lifecycle.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Act as the main point of contact for all SAP/CATs and Capital Approval System queries.
  • Interface with the Finance Department to respond to all project portfolio queries.
  • Manage the general administration of contracts using the client's CEMAR contract management system.
  • Participate in project reviews, audits, and conduct self-assessments to ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Support the production of ITT documents, manage the tender assessment process, and review negotiations with the supply chain.
  • Validate and certify payments in line with contract terms and conditions, raise payment certificates, and complete Service Entry Numbers (SENs) under SAP.
  • Evaluate and agree on the value of approved variations to the contract.
  • Provide monthly Anticipated Final Cost (AFC) forecasts and Value of Work Done (VoWD) reports.
  • Lead and undertake detailed cost audits as required by contract arrangements.
  • Conclude the Final Account for supply chain contracts in accordance with contract terms.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Quantity Surveying within UK regulated industries.
  • Proficient in SAP and CEMAR systems.
  • Strong understanding of NEC4 Contracts and their management.
  • Ability to lead independent project and contract performance reviews.
  • Skilled in the evaluation of contract variations and potential disputes.
  • Excellent communication and interfacing skills.
