We are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our team in secondary schools across the Cambridgeshire area. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for education and a desire to support the learning and development of young people.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide tailored support to students, both individually and in small groups, to enhance their learning experience.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and the classroom environment.
- Work closely with teachers to monitor student progress and contribute to their educational plans.
- Encourage positive student behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) to access the curriculum.
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents when necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in education or support work are ideal but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a supportive approach to student learning.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Flexibility to adapt to different classroom settings and student needs.
